Police Searching For Man Who Attempted To Rob Long Island Bank

Police on Long Island are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly attempted to rob an M&T Bank.

The incident took place in Suffolk County around 4:50 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20 at the bank located at 1830 Route 112 in Coram.

According to Suffolk County Police, a man entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding cash. 

The teller did not comply and the robber fled the scene, police said.

The suspect was described as a white man possibly in his mid to late 20s. He is approximately 5-feet-7 with a slight build and dark, wavy hair. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
